10 Internet Dating Irritations (A Guide for Women That Don't Get It)
An amusing article I found at a great blog:
Digitally leafing through the candy box at my favourite internet dating site again, I decided that some women could really benefit from some guidelines for writing their profiles. Some really don't seem to get it.
Below are my most frequent points of irritation concerning women's profiles (and their behaviour in follow-up) on internet dating sites.T hey are my personal irritations, but I think many of them will be shared by other males looking for a serious date. So Ladies: read and take to heart.
You would suspect many of these points to be things of common sense, but apparently they are not.
PROFILES
#1. Non-content of descriptions.T he kind of personals that simply say "Hi!" or "Here I am!" or "Want a date" or "I am Daisy" or "Waiting for you!" or "Mail me!" and nothing more than that. T he worst variant is where the lady in question in addition selected "tell you later" for any fill-in/drop down selection options in the standard profile structure too.
Ladies: if you don't give any clues as to what you are looking for, and what you stand for and have in the offering, what do you think you'll get? Yep, exactly: the guys that go for your tits only. It's your own fault, as you don't give them anything else to go by.
So for God's sake, describe yourself! What are you looking for in a dating partner, what character, attractive points and norms and values do you have?
#2. No photograph. Okay, I understand you might need to overcome some resistance before putting your face up on a more or less public website. I had the same. But its part of the game, take it or leave it.
And no, don't give me the bullshit about "you see, with this internet dating looks only are important and not the personality behind looks! And I don't want to be selected for my looks!". First, just like in the pub, indeed on internet what you look like is a first (but not the only!!) selection criterion. If you don't like that, then don't go into internet dating, period. But there is more, and more importantly:
In reality, internet dating is already scary enough as it is, and having no picture up just arouses suspicion: what is there to hide?! Are you maybe in reality not "Samantha, 35, blonde and slim" but Hans the Dockworker, 43, hairy ass and 21 tattoos?!?
#3. Fake photographs. Don't put up a picture you scanned from Vogue or a similar magazine or fashion catalogue. You create the impression of being dishonest, and again it arrouses suspicion (see point #2).Mo reover, you won't fool most men with it. And you shouldn't fool men with it.
If on a date you would turn out not to be the woman of the picture on your profile, I would leave immediately.Mo st men would. So its a stupid thing to do.
